*** Reimbursement by Kela for a dental examination is restricted to one time every two years. Reimbursement can be obtained once in a calendar year if the dentist indicates in the course of their examinations that more frequent examination is necessary due to the patient’s state of health.
**** Kela reimbursement for oral hygiene visits is subject to a valid referral to a dentist.
