Strikes in the private healthcare sector are affecting our services

The Social and Health Sector Negotiation Organisation Sote ry has announced 24-hour strikes in the private healthcare sector from 28th to 31st May 2024. The strikes will impact Pihlajalinna’s services.

The strikes will affect imaging services on 28th and 30th May and laboratory services on 29th and 31st May at all Pihlajalinna’s medical centres and hospitals.

Our primary aim is to ensure that our emergency and hospital operations continue as uninterrupted as possible. Nevertheless, there may be disruptions in emergency services, and waiting times might be longer than usual.

We will contact those clients whose pre-booked imaging and sampling appointments will be affected by the strikes.

The strikes will not directly affect appointments with our specialists, such as doctors or occupational health nurses. Indirectly, they may affect what tests can be performed during appointments and when the test results will be available.

The final impact of the strikes on services will only become clear on the mornings of the strike days. We recommend scheduling non-urgent imaging and sampling appointments from 1st June onwards.

Up-to-date information on the availability of imaging and laboratory services can be found on our online booking system or through our phone service on the strike days.
