An antigen test is a fast method of coronavirus testing. The test includes a nasopharyngeal swab.

An antigen test result will be delivered within approximately three hours and a PCR test result within 1-3 days. Please keep this in mind when booking a covid test for example for a voyage.

A PCR test (Polymerase Chain Reaction) is used to check whether the genetic material of the COVID‑19 virus can be detected on the mucous membrane of the nasopharynx.

Please note that the flu vaccine cannot be given during a febrile infection or fever. If several family members are coming to the vaccination visit at the same time, please reserve a separate time for each.

The intention of the tests included in the Fatigue package is to determine what causes a sense of fatigue. The package is recommended to people, who are feeling constantly more tired than before or experiencing changes in their alertness or declined performance.

The tests included in the Men’s health package, which helps you find out the state of your health through individual results, are current for men of all ages. You can plan necessary changes in your diet, exercise habits, amount of sleep and overall lifestyle that will best improve your wellbeing based on the results. This package tests possible infections of chlamydia, gonorrhea and HIV. Sexually transmitted infections are spread through contact with mucous membranes during sexual activity. HIV can also be transmitted through blood.

Pihlajalinna occupational health customers can take a survey to assess their risk of coronavirus infection and the seriousness of a potentially contracted infection. The on-call care clinic is for sudden and urgent illnesses or accidents. Our experienced experts are at your service at the general practioner and on-call care clinic.

On-call care

Infectious diseases and symptoms, which include f.e. ear infections, eye symptoms, sudden stomach symptoms and urinary tract infection are treated at the on-call general practitioner service. Various pain conditions, accidents and musculoskeletal problems are also treated at the on-call general practitioner service.

Children and adolescents are treated at the children's emergency service. The most common reasons for seeking treatment in the children’s emergency service are child's fever, acute pain conditions such as ear pain, stomach aches, allergies, skin symptoms and crying. At the children's emergency service, your child will be treated by experienced pediatric specialists and specialized doctors.

An accident and emergency clinic employee can help when you suffer from an orthopaedic injury (in joints, limbs or back). It is good to show a shoulder, wrist, knee, or ankle injured in an accident to an orthopaedist on call. Especially in the case of sports injury or traffic accident it is recommended to make an appointment at an accident and emergency clinic. After getting injured, seek treatment as soon as possible.

Pihlajalinna’s Paediatrician Chat allows you to consult a paediatrician on behalf of a child under 12. The service is available through Pihlajalinna’s Health Application on working days from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on weekends from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can consult a remote paediatrician to address many acute problems, such as allergies, skin rash and infections.

Which of the following symptoms do you have?

I have a ticket to a Finnair flight or a flight ticket to a partner airline booked via Finnair and I am taking the test without symptoms.

Finnair customers have a contract price for PCR or Antigen tests. When booking a test, you need to attach your flight ticket number or booking reference, fill in your personal information and confirm the booking. The test result will be sent via SMS to the given phone number as soon as it is ready. A certificate of the taken test will be sent to the given e-mail address as soon as possible after the test result is ready. The contract price can be used only once per booked flight. The test needs to be booked according to the demands of the destination country. It is the responsibility of the customer to follow the testing times and regulations of the destination country. Pihlajalinna has the right to change the debited fee to a value of our normal price list, if the terms of the contract price are not met.

Finnair’s discounted price for a COVID‑19 test

An encrypted email requires you to create a separate ID before you can read the encrypted email. The COVID‑19 test certificate includes your name, date of birth and, potentially, passport number.

You can get a Kela reimbursement for a coronavirus test if you have symptoms suggesting the coronavirus and if you are covered by the Finnish health insurance. Excess prices after the Kela reimbursement: Coronavirus test EUR 121,70 and doctor’s evaluation and referral EUR 18, total EUR 139,70 (+ invoice fee EUR 3). You can also pay for the test in the Pihlajalinna health application, in which case there is no invoice fee.

You will not get a Kela reimbursement for the coronavirus test, making the price of the test EUR 221,70 (+ invoice fee EUR 3).

When you are asymptomatic, the coronavirus test is not eligible for reimbursement

You are required to give your flight information and your passport number when booking a test. The price is based on the test, the test referral and the certificate of a negative covid test.

Please note

The employer decides in which situations a test can be taken. In other situations, you need to take a covid test as a private customer.

Kela provides you reimbursement of the test, if you you have covid-19 symptoms and are included within the scope of Finnish sickness insurance.

These symptoms must be examined physically, therefore we do not recommend that you use our remote channels to deal with the matter.

Based on your symptoms, we recommend that in addition to the coronavirus test, you seek urgent evaluation at an on-call care clinic or make an urgent appointment at a Pihlajalinna location
