Additional occupational health services supplement the selected occupational health service package when the company’s needs change or more extensive support for work ability, well-being or supervisory work is needed. Additional services allow employers to respond quickly to individual situations or develop the work community systematically.
The services are divided into solutions for individuals and work communities. Additional services are customised to the company’s needs in a timely, impactful and practical manner and included in the occupational health agreement.
Additional services for individuals
Individual services are personal occupational health services offered to employees. These services are customised to the employee’s situation and needs as part of occupational health care cooperation.
The Mielen huoli mental health line is a low-threshold service which the employee can contact via the Pihlajalinna Terveyssovellus application or by phone. The service gives a quick assessment of the employee’s situation and, if necessary, directs them to the right specialist pursuant to the occupational health agreement.

When a customer has been diagnosed with sleep apnoea and CPAP has been chosen as the treatment method, Pihlajalinna provides a care pathway for initiating the treatment to achieve quick results. The initiation of CPAP treatment for sleep apnoea includes a sleep apnoea nurse’s and physician’s support for starting the CPAP treatment, the CPAP equipment and necessary supplies.

Based on a 24-hour heart rate analysis, the method identifies risks related to one’s lifestyle and life management. The analysis takes usually three days and it is done by attaching a measuring device around the chest.

The online course helps individuals work ergonomically and adjust their workstation also. The skills taught help prevent and eliminate musculoskeletal problems related to display screen work and support good ergonomics.
The service is included in fixed-price occupational health agreements. Price when purchased separately: EUR 795 + VAT 24% / year / organisation. Length approx. 30 minutes, available in Finnish, Swedish and English.
The course supports consultations with Pihlajalinna’s professionals. For example, an employee can be referred to the service after an occupational health nurse’s health assessment or an occupational physiotherapist’s consultation for a musculoskeletal problem. The course can also be utilised in induction training and linked to the organisation’s intranet. The course takes into account the specific ergonomics challenges of remote display screen work.
